exactly what our one day Conflict Coaching course is designed to tackle.
Across the day you’ll:
- Understand the theory behind conflict and why people get stuck
- Learn how coaching techniques can unlock progress
- Practise the core skills you need to guide others without carrying their barriers yourself
It’s hands-on, practical and focused on real-world application. With only 5 spaces left, now’s the time to secure your place.
Bookings are now open for the ADR Mediation Online Conference on Tuesday 30 September - and we’d love for you to join us!
It’s a full day of live, interactive learning with experienced mediation trainers who know the challenges you face and the approaches that work. Each session is small enough for real conversation, practical enough to use the very next day, and varied enough to give you fresh ideas from every angle.
This event is for anyone working in mediation or in roles where conflict resolution plays a part – from housing and community work to workplace mediation, training, and beyond. Whether you’re looking to deepen your skills, discover new approaches, or simply spend a day in the company of like-minded professionals, you’ll be in the right place.
Across the day, you’ll explore the psychology that shapes conflict, inclusive approaches to neurodiversity, practical ways to embed restorative practice, and how mediation can transform policy. Every topic is designed to give you something you can take away and use. We have lined up an expert team of specialists and professionals including Emma Goddard, Diane Nicholson, Marie Coombes and Cathy Chattaway to bring you the latest insight, expertise and practical strategies you can apply straight away.
This event is open to all – and we would be delighted to welcome you:

Train as a Mediator and Make a Real Difference
Applications are now open for our OCN-accredited Interpersonal Mediation course, taking place in October. It’s a five-day immersive training programme designed to build practical skills and confidence for those looking to work in community conflict resolution.
As part of our Volunteer Mediator Programme, we’re offering a limited number of fully funded places on the course. In return, volunteers commit to supporting ADR Mediation with at least 12 months of community mediation work, giving them valuable case experience while making a tangible impact in local neighbourhoods.
Training Dates:
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 8th October 2025 (plus an optional sixth day depending on cohort size)
Led by: Marie Coombes – Coach, Trainer, and experienced Workplace Mediator.
If you’re looking to build your mediation portfolio and gain an accredited qualification, this is an ideal first step.
Don’t Forget – We’re Sponsoring The Community Housing Summit Liverpool Fringe Event!
This is your final call to join us on Monday 8th September! We’re supporting the Liverpool fringe session as part of the Community Housing Summit alongside MSB Solicitors, CMSG and Green & Burton ASB Associates. This event will be bringing together practitioners from housing, ASB, and community services to explore practical, locally-led responses to current challenges around hate crime. As ever, our focus will be on where mediation fits, not just in policy, but in practice.

Mediation Refresher Training – 29 October (Online)
Reconnect with your skills. Rebuild your confidence. Refresh your practice.
If you’ve been away from the mediation table for a while, or simply want to sharpen your approach, this one-day refresher is the perfect way to bring your practice back into focus.
Across the day you’ll:
- Revisit the foundations of effective workplace and community mediation
- Sharpen your listening, reframing, and communication skills
- Step back through the mediation process with practical tips for complex cases
- Explore how to navigate challenges such as power imbalances and ethical dilemmas
- Take time to reflect on your own practice and protect your wellbeing
Delivered by active mediators, this training is grounded in real-world experience and designed to build both confidence and resilience.
From Optional to Obligatory? What the CPR Changes Mean for Mediation
Mediation isn’t sitting quietly in the background anymore. With the CPR changes now in force, it’s stepping centre stage – and that’s good news for organisations ready to embrace it.
In her latest thought piece, Kim Logan looks at what this shift means for public bodies and why investing in your mediators is the smartest move you can make. Stronger skills, greater confidence, and better outcomes all start with the people delivering the work.
It’s a reminder that the opportunities we have coming up this autumn – from our September courses and conference through to October’s accredited programme – aren’t just dates in the diary. They’re a chance to get ahead, feel prepared, and make mediation part of your culture.
This Autumn, Make Mediation Your Strength
As autumn begins, it brings with it the chance for a fresh start. It’s a season of change, and the perfect time to pause, reset, and invest in the skills that will carry you and your organisation forward.
At ADR Mediation, we believe mediation is more than a response to conflict. It’s a way of strengthening teams, building trust, and creating better outcomes for the people you serve. The opportunities this September and October are designed to help you do just that: to grow in confidence, expand your toolkit, and feel ready for whatever challenges lie ahead.
We’d love you to join us on that journey.
Have a great month.
