Happy Friday,
Some weeks feel steady. Others feel full. This is one of the full ones, in the best sense! Conference planning, course delivery and membership support are all moving forward at the same time. Here is what you need to know from this week:
Conflict Resolution Live | The room where brave conversations happen
The sector needs brave conversations. This is where they happen.
You’ll have already seen by now – but in case you’ve missed it – on 30 April 2026, practitioners, leaders and decision-makers will come together in Manchester for Conflict Resolution Live, our national conference designed to move practice forward.
This is not theory for theory’s sake. It is practical, applied and grounded in operational reality.
Across the day you will experience:
- Interactive workshops designed to strengthen confidence and competence
- Specialist speakers who understand the pressures of frontline work
- Expert panel discussion exploring what effective conflict response really looks like
- Time to connect meaningfully with peers across housing, mediation, legal and community safety sectors
If your role involves complaints, risk, behaviour, safeguarding, ASB or difficult conversations, this is a day built for you.
Early bird tickets are live but finish 28.02.26 – secure yours at the reduced price now
Two spaces remaining | Volunteer Pathway Interpersonal Mediation Course
At the beginning of March, our free volunteer pathway Interpersonal Mediation course takes place online and we now have just two spaces available.
This course leads to the OCNLR Level 3 in Mediation Theory and Practice, accredited by OCN London and regulated by Ofqual. On successful completion, you join the ADR Mediation team and receive structured support while developing your practice as a mediator.
It is a genuine pathway into hands-on mediation work, backed by qualification, supervision and experience.
If you have been considering formal training or stepping more confidently into mediation practice, this is your moment.

A huge appreciation post for Lucie Holland
When you are building something as big as Conflict Resolution Week, it is very easy to get caught up in the noise. The planning. The meetings. The ideas.
Meanwhile the actual business still needs to run, and we are incredibly grateful to have Lucie Holland on the team making sure it does.
Lucie has been organising schedules, keeping on top of client communication, chasing what needs chasing and quietly making sure nothing slips while the rest of us focus on the build up.
No drama. No fuss. Just getting it done.
Every organisation needs someone who keeps things steady when everything else is moving at speed.
We wanted to say a huge thank you Lucie. We genuinely could not do this without you.
